Sole, castagne e divertimento
Una festa baciata dal sole quella dedicata al marrone biondo dei Colli bolognesi. Assaggi, vendita e divertimento per tutta domenica a Pontecchio Marconi, precisamente nel bosco di Mezzana, un raro castagneto secolare in piano. Per le vie del centro, bancarelle e stand con un sacco di prodotti tipici hanno allietato i palati dei visitatori. Castagne e caldarroste su tutti, ma anche vini delle cantine marconiane, birra, formaggi, crescentine, tigelle e borlenghi. Un’occasione per riscoprire le tradizioni dell’Appennino, tra le suggestioni e i colori del castagneto in autunno.
I balli popolari hanno accompagnato gli spuntini, mentre il sole ha aiutato a godersi tutti insieme un pranzo domenicale. Nel bellissimo castagneto di Mezzana, infatti, tante famiglie e bambini hanno potuto fare un picnic nel prato e raccogliere i marroni. Finito di mangiare, tutti pronti per un concerto e una visita guidata a Villa Quiete, villa settecentesca, che da sempre fa da sfondo alla sagra, chiamata dal costruttore “la Quiete di Mezzana” per il luogo paradisiaco in cui si trova.
Sun, chestnuts and entertainment
The Blonde Chestnut of the Bolognese Hills Festival has been a sunny celebration . Degustations, points of sale, and entertainment all the Sunday long in Pontecchio Marconi, right in the Mezzana wood forest, a rare chestnut wood. Stalls and stands gladdened visitors’ palate with a large variety of typical products among the streets of the centre. Chestnuts and roast chestnuts above all, but also Marconiane cellars’ wines, beer, cheese, “crescentine”, “tigelle” and “borlenghi”. The event has been a great opportunity to revalue the traditions of the Hills, through the splendour of the Autumn colors.
Folk dances as a background music during the lunch time, while the sun was shining on. In the wonderful Mezzana chestnut wood, indeed, many families with children had a bag lunch and then collected the chestnuts from the ground. As soon as the lunch was finished everyone was ready for the concert and the guided tour in Villa Quiete, a XVIII century house, always important for the Festival and also called “La Quiete di Mezzana” because of the paradisiac place where it is located.
